Carola Hjelt has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Carola began their career in 1987 at Stockmann as a Sales Clerk and Buying Assistant before moving on to become a Purchaser. In 1990, they joined Suomen Trikoo as a Product Manager. Carola then worked at Nike, where they held various positions such as PR and Marketing Assistant, Customer Service Ambassador, and Nordic Transition Coordinator. At Nike, they played a key role in establishing and improving customer service operations in Finland and across Europe. Carola joined Nordea Finance Finland in 2001 as a Customer Service Manager and later transitioned into a Human Resources Consultant role. Carola continued their career at Nordea Bank, where they served as an HRD Consultant, Project Manager, Graduate Programme Manager, Leadership Development Consultant, and Senior Leadership Development Consultant. In these roles, Carola drove large-scale organizational transformations, developed and delivered leadership training programs, and trained leaders in coaching skills. In 2020, they became a Network Partner and Trainer of Coaching Skills at BCI Business Coaching Institute. Currently, Carola is a Senior Consultant at Leadership Pipeline Institute, specializing in supporting organizations in building internal pipelines of qualified leaders and specialists.
Carola Hjelt has a diverse education history. In 1988-1990, they attended Markkinointi-instituutti, where they obtained a degree in Kauppateknikko. Later, from 2000 to 2004, Carola pursued an MBA degree in Business Administration and Management, General at Henley Business School. In 2002-2003, they obtained a Specialist Qualification in Leadership from Adulta.
In addition to their formal education, Carola has obtained several certifications. In 2012, they received a Certificate of coaching skill from Results Coaching Systems. Carola also has certifications in Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ) and Motivational Questionnaire (MQ) from SHL (obtained in 2010). Carola holds a Leading Others & Leading Leaders trainer certificate from the Leadership Pipeline Institute, although the date of acquisition is not provided.
Furthermore, Carola has achieved several coaching certifications. Carola is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coaching Federation (obtained in 2020) and an Associate Certified Coach from the same institution (obtained in 2015). Carola is also a Certified Business Coach Master from the BCI Business Coaching Institute (obtained in 2020) and an NLP Master from Veli-Matti Toivonen (obtained in 2015). Recently, in 2021, they completed the Coaching Supervision Course at Oxford Brookes Business School.
Carola's commitment to professional growth is evident as they recently achieved the Senior Practitioner certification from EMCC Global in May 2022.
