Ciora Thomas has a diverse work experience that includes roles in various organizations and non-profits. They served as the Director of SisTers PGH, a transgender community center and housing provider. They also worked as the Director of People's Pride PGH, a grassroots Pride event that aimed to address racial and economic disparities in the LGBTQ+ community. Ciora has also been a Board Member at Pittsburgh Action Against Rape, a Steering Committee Member at the Transgender Coalition of Pennsylvania, and a Commissioner of the PA Commission on LGBTQ Affairs under Governor Tom Wolf. Additionally, they have held positions such as President of the LGBTQIA Advisory Council of Pittsburgh, Residential Program Director at Proud Haven Inc, and Supervisor at Donor Services Group. Ciora's work experience demonstrates their dedication to advocacy, community support, and social justice.

Ciora Thomas completed their Master's degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management at The Skreets from 1988 to 2020.
