Chae D'Ann Ray, M.Ed., NBCT has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Content and Coaching - Literacy at Leading Educators since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at KIPP Texas Public Schools as the Director of ELA Curriculum and Achievement from 2021 to 2023. Chae D'Ann also served as the Director of Secondary Literacy at Houston ISD in 2021. From 2012 to 2021, Chae worked at KIPP Texas Public Schools in various roles including Founding Assistant Principal, Founding Dean of Literacy, and Teacher of ELA and Reading. Chae D'Ann also worked as a Teaching Excellence Induction Teacher Leader at YES Prep Public Schools from 2017 to 2020. In addition, Chae has experience as a Middle School Literacy Community Leader at KIPP Foundation from 2015 to 2017. Chae D'Ann began their career as a Secondary English Language Arts and Reading Teacher at Ombudsman Educational Services in 2011 and has also worked as an Academic Goal Developer/ Lesson Planner at Leaps and Bounds Tutorial Centers. Chae's earliest work experience was as a 3rd Grade Instructional Aide/Assistant Teacher at Meyer Park Elementary School in 2010.

Chae D'Ann Ray, M.Ed., NBCT began their education journey by earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Literature with a minor in Education from the University of Houston from 2008 to 2010. Chae D'Ann then pursued further education at Sam Houston State University, where they obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Instructional Leadership with a minor in Reading from 2012 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Chae D'Ann Ray has obtained various certifications to further enhance their teaching skills. Chae D'Ann achieved National Board Certification from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in December 2018. Chae D'Ann also completed the Advanced Placement Summer Institute in Middle School English, consisting of 60 hours of instruction provided by The College Board. Furthermore, they attended the ELPS Academy through Project Share by Region 4 ESC. Additionally, they have acquired certifications in Early Adolescence/English Language Arts, English Language Arts 8-12, English as a Second Language 4-12, and Generalist 4-8 from the Texas Education Agency. Lastly, they completed a 6-hour training program in Gifted and Talented-Literacy from Sam Houston State University and obtained certification in Instructional Leadership Development from the Texas Education Agency.
