Lauren Mulcahy has a diverse work experience. Lauren began their career as a Teacher at New Orleans Charter Science and Math High School in 2007. From 2009 to 2012, they served as the Academic Director at Bard Early College in New Orleans. In 2012, they joined Leading Educators as the National Expansion Manager and later took on the role of Senior Manager for Strategic Support Initiatives. In 2014, they became the Director of Strategic Growth before eventually assuming the position of Senior Director of Partnerships in August 2018.

Lauren Mulcahy attended Brown University from 2008 to 2009, where they earned a Master of Arts degree in Education Policy. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature at Smith College from 2000 to 2004.
