Laura Piekos

Laura Piekos has been in the workforce for over 10 years. In 2018, they began working at LeadingIT as the Chief Human Resources Officer, Executive Assistant, and Marketing Specialist. Prior to that, they worked at Thresholds as a Community Support Specialist from 2016-2018. In 2016, they also interned at Leadership Greater McHenry County to support Dr. Frances Glosson and Marcy Piekos. Finally, from 2008-2016, they were a Teacher Assistant at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, where they ensured the safety of children and assisted with their activities.

Laura Piekos began their educational journey in 2009 when they attended Waubonsee Community College, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in General Studies. Laura then continued their studies at Roosevelt University, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Sociology in 2015. Finally, they attended Aurora University from 2016 to 2018, where they took some courses towards an MSW in Social Work.
