Jim Makar

Jim Makar has extensive experience in financial planning and analysis roles. Jim currently serves as the Vice President of Financial Planning Analysis at Leaf Home Solutions, where they are responsible for building and leading a strong FP&A function. Jim serves as a business partner to leaders, providing analytics and strategic financial planning support. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at LeafFilter Gutter Protection and as the Global Director of Financial Planning and Analysis and Global Manager of Financial Reporting at TCP Lighting. Jim also has experience as an Audit Manager and Audit Senior Associate at Grant Thornton LLP and KPMG, respectively. In these roles, they managed and planned audits for public and non-public companies, developed corporate accounting policies and internal controls, and assisted with SOX compliance, among other responsibilities. Jim Makar also has experience serving as a Junior Board Member and Finance Committee Member at Open Door Academy Cleveland.

Jim Makar attended Bowling Green State University for their Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting. Jim also pursued their Masters degree at the same university, focusing on Accounting and Information Systems.
