Alex Calderon has extensive work experience in field marketing and brand management roles.
Alex is currently working as a Senior Manager - Field Marketing at LeafLink, where they are responsible for standardizing operations for brands, distributors, and retailers in the cannabis industry.
Prior to that, they worked as a Sr. Field Marketing Manager - North America at Eat Just, Inc., where they led the development of the company's field marketing program and successfully drove brand awareness and sampling through a music festival tour.
Alex also served as a Marketing Operations Manager at Urbn Leaf, where they focused on consumer education and staff training to change the perceptions of cannabis.
Before entering the cannabis industry, Alex worked at Clif Bar & Company in various roles, including Regional Field Marketing Manager and Associate Brand Manager. In these positions, they developed and executed regional field marketing strategies, managed partnerships, and contributed to brand growth.
Alex also gained experience in corporate sales at Timbuk2 and retail marketing at Sports Basement earlier in their career.
Alex Calderon has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a Marketing Emphasis from the University of Southern California. Additionally, they hold multiple Master of Arts degrees from the University of San Francisco in various fields of study related to sport management and sport and fitness administration/management. In terms of certifications, Alex obtained their PADI Open Water Diver certification in March 2004 and their Advanced Open Water Diver certification from PADI in May 2009.
