Dan Allison

Dan Allison is an experienced professional in transit advocacy, environmental education, and community engagement. As an Action Team Member with Sacramento Transit Advocates and Riders (STAR) since January 2016, Dan provides leadership for the region's transit advocacy efforts. With a long-standing affiliation as a League Cycling Instructor since June 2008, Dan educates adults and children in bike safety and education. Dan previously owned Raincloud Publishing, supporting environmental education and transportation planning until December 2020. Other notable roles include serving as the Safe Routes to School Coordinator for San Juan Unified School District, Board Member positions with Sacramento Country Dance Society and Muscle Powered, and leading various hiking programs for Tahoe Rim Trail Association. Dan holds advanced degrees in Outdoor Education and Natural Resources, as well as a certification in Nonprofit Management.
