Marlah Bonner has a diverse work experience in various leadership positions. Marlah is currently the Vice President of Development at the League of American Orchestras since September 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director of External Affairs at the Philadelphia School Partnership from June 2018 to July 2020. From August 2012 to June 2018, they worked as the Associate Dean for Advancement at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Marlah also worked as the Director of Development for Strategic Initiatives at the University of Delaware from June 2011 to June 2012. Before that, they held the position of Director of Advancement at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, College of Fine and Applied Arts, from October 2004 to June 2011.

Marlah Bonner started their career as the Executive Director at Marik & Associates from March 2000 to October 2004. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their expertise in development, fundraising, strategic planning, and alumni relations.

Marlah Bonner has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Penn State University. Marlah then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus in Marketing and Media Management from the Fox School of Business at Temple University. Marlah also spent a year abroad at the University of Nice, France, where they studied international business, economics, and French. Additionally, Marlah completed coursework toward a Certificate in Nonprofit Administration Program at the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania.
