Derek Robinson serves as First Vice President of the League of California Cities since 2013, focusing on restoring and protecting local control for cities through education and advocacy to enhance the quality of life across California. Previously, Derek held the position of 2nd Vice President, where efforts included sponsoring and supporting legislation for new community and economic development tools while defending local authority. In addition, Derek has been a City Council member for the City of Madera since January 2012. Derek Robinson earned a degree in Social Science with a focus on Political Science and Government from the University of California, Berkeley between 1979 and 1982.
