Kayla Sherwood is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in various roles focused on media relations and public affairs. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Communications and Media at the League of California Cities since September 2018, Kayla develops strategic communications initiatives and serves as an advisor to the Executive Office. Previously, as Public Affairs Manager for Visit California, Kayla spearheaded campaigns to highlight the tourism industry's impact on the state. Kayla’s experience also includes positions such as Executive Fellow with the Capital Fellows Program, Project Manager at California Strategies, and Media Affairs Intern at the US Department of Justice. Kayla holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications from the University of California, Davis.
