Dennis W. Montoya

Dennis W. Montoya is an 8th Grade Math Teacher at South Valley Academy and a Middle School Math Teacher at Robert F. Kennedy Charter, with experience in education spanning over several years, including a role as a STEM Teacher at Albuquerque Talent Development Academy. Montoya has been actively involved in the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) since 2009, serving as Immediate Past State Director and Executive Director in volunteer roles, as well as New Mexico District 1 Director and Civil Rights Chair. A former President/CEO of Montoya Law, Inc., Montoya has a legal background with a focus on civil rights and employment discrimination. Educational qualifications include a JD from The University of New Mexico School of Law, a BS in Biology and Chemistry from New Mexico Highlands University, and studies in Medicine at the University of Washington.
