Intensive Behavior Continuum Teacher/ Special Education Team Lead at Leander ISD

Ann Hayes has a diverse work experience. Ann started their career as a Youth Care Counselor at Meridell Achievement Center in 2013. Their responsibilities included assisting patients in group therapy, ensuring they followed therapists' plans, and teaching them social skills. Ann also took detailed behavioral notes and collaborated with the mental health team. Ann then worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant at Leander ISD from 2014 to 2015. Ann later joined the Department of Families and Protective Services as an Investigator from 2015 to 2017. Currently, they are working as an Intensive Behavior Continuum Teacher and Special Education Team Lead at Leander ISD since June 2019. Prior to this role, they served as a Special Education Instructional Assistant at Leander ISD from 2017 to 2019.

Ann Hayes obtained a Teaching Certification in Special Education and Teaching from iteachTEXAS in 2020. Prior to that, in 2015, they received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus on Counseling Psychology from South University Austin, Texas. Ann's education journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Bemidji State University in 2013. In addition to their formal education, they also hold a Standard Teaching certification in grades EC-12 Special Education, obtained in June 2020 from the Texas Education Agency.
