Sara LeMar is a high school science teacher currently employed by Leander ISD since May 2023. Prior to this role, Sara worked at Molecular Templates from July 2017 to May 2023, serving in various positions including Scientist and Senior Research Associate, with a focus on tumor immunology and immunology. Earlier research experience includes an undergraduate research assistantship at Temple University's Department of Neuroscience, where Sara investigated the role of cFMS in the central nervous system and NeuroAIDS therapeutics, and an undergraduate researcher position in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, examining the role of pCF10 in E. faecalis in response to oxidative stress. Sara holds a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from Temple University and is pursuing a Teacher Certification in Science for grades 7-12, along with ESL and Special Education supplemental certifications at Austin Community College.
