Kathy Blain has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies starting in the year 2000. Kathy began their career at IBM as a Test Engineer and then moved on to Intel as a Test Engineer as well. In 2004, they joined Planar Systems as a Technical Customer Service Engineer and later became the Technical Customer Service Manager. At Cloud Systems, they worked as a Technical Support and QA Engineer, where they developed various types of documentation and provided technical support for web-based control software. Kathy then transitioned to Everest Consultants, Inc. as a Quality Assurance Engineer before joining LanceSoft, Inc. as a QA Engineer with GE Healthcare. At Webtrends, Kathy worked as a QA Engineer III. Their most recent work experience includes working at Oracle as a Sr. Software Engineer, where they played the role of a Scrum master, designed and built new functionality for web applications, developed test automation using various tools, and maintained the test automation framework. Currently, Kathy is working at LeanTaaS as a Sr. QA Engineer.

Kathy Blain obtained their B.A. in English from California State University, Chico, from 1985 to 1989. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Scrum Master certification from Scrum.org in November 2020.
