Joseph Birdsey

Joseph Birdsey's work experience is as follows:

- From December 2022 to present, Joseph worked as a Lead Robotics Technician at Leap Automation. Their responsibilities include building and pressure testing pneumatic sets, constructing and fault finding robotic arms, mechanical assemblies, providing feedback on engineering changes, and conducting factory acceptance tests of completed units.

- From March 2022 to January 2023, Joseph worked as a Robotics Technician at Leap Automation. Joseph was involved in moving the automated food packing machine from research and development to manufacturing. Their duties included building the automated system and streamlining and refining manufacturing processes.

- From August 2021 to December 2021, Joseph worked as a Workshop Technician at RigQuip Drilling Services. Joseph was responsible for repairing, maintaining, and reassembling offshore equipment according to mechanical practice and legislation.

- From August 2020 to August 2021, Joseph worked as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician at British Antarctic Survey. Joseph coordinated life support systems and managed the maintenance of the BAS facility. Joseph also provided medical assistance, including setting broken bones during a boat rescue.

In 2014, they enrolled in North East Scotland College and obtained an SVQ Level 2 in Performing Mechanical Operations. Joseph furthered their education at the Industrial Training Centre in Aberdeen from 2015 to 2016, where they earned a National Certificate Level 5 in Manufacturing Engineering. From 2016 to 2019, Joseph attended North Atlantic Fisheries College, obtaining a National Certificate Level 5 in Marine Operations (Engineering) and an HNC in Marine Engineering.
