Caroline McAndrews

Co-Founder & Advisor at Leap Fund

Caroline McAndrews has a wealth of experience in research, assessment, writing, presenting, and leadership development. In 2018, they co-founded and served as an advisor for Leap Fund, a financial solution that lifts people over the benefits cliff. From 2014-2018, they were an independent consultant at Strategy and Impact. In 2017, they were an Associate Faculty at the School of Visual Arts, where they co-led the guest lecture series for the Design for Social Innovation masters program. In 2018, they were a Design Fellow at Blue Ridge Labs @ Robin Hood, where they helped to launch and grow a tech platform focused on working families. From 2004-2018, they were at the Building Movement Project, where they served as the Director of Research & Documentation and the Director of Leadership & Communications. Caroline is the author of "What Works: Developing Successful Multigenerational Leadership" and co-author of "Structuring Leadership: Alternative models for distributing power and decision-making in nonprofit organizations". From 2002-2004, they were a Program Associate and a Program Assistant at the Ms. Foundation for Women.

Caroline McAndrews graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies in 2001. Caroline later attended the School of Visual Arts, where they earned a Master of Fine Arts in Design for Social Innovation in 2016.
