Walter Perry has a diverse range of work experience in web development and related roles. Walter worked as a Full Stack Web Development Teaching Assistant at 2U in 2019. Prior to that, they were a Web Developer at Leap to Success - Project Club of Launchpad Job Club, where they developed HTML, CSS, and JavaScript websites and integrated JavaScript code for email functionality. From 2015 to 2017, they served as a Webmaster, Editorial Board Member, and Writer at Macon State College, maintaining and updating website/database information and developing web and print documents. Walter also worked as a Webmaster for the State of Georgia from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, Walter had various roles at Central Georgia Technical College from 2012 to 2015, including Career Services Intern and Tutor, Career Services Webmaster and Adjunct Instructor, and Tutor. In these positions, they designed and coded dynamic web pages, utilized CSS extensively, and implemented a new database.
Walter Perry began their education in 2012 at Central Georgia Technical College, where they pursued an Associate's degree in Web Site Design. Walter completed this program in 2015. Following this, they enrolled at Middle Georgia State University in 2015 and earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Web Programming in 2017. In addition to their degree programs, Walter obtained a certification in "Try Git" from Code School, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.

Leap To Success
Leap To Success is the project club of the Launch Pad Job Club and offers the talents of Launchpad members to area non-profit organizations for pro bono, short-term projects. These projects allow you the job-seeker to keep your skills sharp while seeking employment and also provide deserving area non-profits the vital assistance they need to move them forward. Many members have been hired by area companies due to their direct involvement with Leap to Success. To join Leap to Success we first invite you to attend a meeting of Launchpad Job Club. Meetings are held weekly every Friday morning from 10 - 11:30 am at Capital City Events Center at 6700 Middle Fiskville Road, Ste. 403 (next door to Highland Galaxy movie theater). Most projects last around 8 weeks and are led by a designated Project Manager. Skills needed are: marketing/PR; graphic design; website design; social media expertise; fundraising; coding; software/hardware expertise; business consulting; financial consulting, etc. If a job offer comes along while working on a project you are welcome to see the project through to final delivery or the project may be handed over to another Leap to Success/Launchpad Job Club member.
