Asic verification lead at LeapFrog Semiconductor

Milind Patil has extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. Milind started their career at PMC Sierra, where they worked as a Senior Product Development Engineer. Milind then joined Airgo Networks as an ASIC Verification Lead, where they achieved first silicon success for their 802.11n wireless solution. Milind also worked at Nvidia as a Senior Hardware Engineer, focusing on verifying the 802.11 wireless integrated MAC. After that, they joined Nevis Networks, initially as a Senior Technical Lead and later as a Manager for an ASIC Development team. Milind then moved to LSI Corporation as an ASIC Verification Manager, working on networking and storage SOC projects. Following that, they worked at Intel Corporation as a Senior Engineering Manager, leading the merger of LSI networking and Axxia division. Milind continued their career at Accenture as a Senior Manager, where they were involved in the validation of a large multi-core networking chip. Their next role was at SimpleMachines, Inc. as the SoC Verification Lead, where they successfully led the pre-silicon verification of an industry-leading AI accelerator silicon and designed the post-silicon validation infrastructure. Prior to their current role, Milind worked at Aviva Links, where they served as a Senior Principal Engineer, responsible for architecting and implementing SOC verification environments. Milind also implemented a SystemVerilog backend for kaitai struct to automate packet generation. Currently, they hold the position of Asic Verification Lead at LeapFrog Semiconductor, Inc.

Milind Patil began their education in 1981 at Rashtriya Indian Military College, where they completed their High School degree. From 1987 to 1991, Patil attended the National Institute of Technology Durgapur and received a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics and Communication. During the same period, they also studied at REC Durgapur and obtained another BE degree in the same field. From 1991 to 1993, Patil pursued their Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Digital Signal Processing at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Finally, from 1993 to 1997, they continued their studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay as a Research Scholar, specializing in Computer Vision and Image Processing.
