David Goodson

Vice President at Leapley Construction Group

David Goodson has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. David started their career in 2007 as an Engineering Intern at Regulator Marine, Inc., assisting with the design and manufacture of offshore fishing boats. In 2009, they joined Norfolk Southern Railroad as a Management Trainee, completing rotations in various departments before becoming a Mechanical Supervisor, responsible for front line supervision and emergency response.

In 2011, David transitioned to Norfolk Southern Corporation as the Superintendent of Facilities, overseeing maintenance and improvement of corporate facilities, with a focus on energy efficiency. David later became the Senior Manager of Facility Services, leading operations and infrastructure projects, including a major consolidation and the build-out of an office tower.

David then joined The Coca-Cola Company in 2016, initially as the Manager of Facilities Operations for the Atlanta Office Complex. David later took on the role of Facilities Management Lead at the global headquarters, managing facilities operations for a 2.4 million square foot campus housing the executive leadership team.

Most recently, David has been working at Leapley Construction Group, starting as a Project Manager in 2019. David progressed to Senior Project Manager and is currently serving as the Project Director.

David Goodson attended North Carolina State University from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, in April 2023, they received a certification as a Crafting Futures Together™ Ambassador from Leap In and Build, LLC.
