Xingfu Yang, PhD, is currently the Chief Data Scientist at Lucid Intel, LLC, leading a team in the development and delivery of scalable data services such as non-credit underwriting and fraud prevention. They also work on tailoring customized solutions for major clients through project scoping and joint data studies.
Prior to their current role, Xingfu worked as a Data Scientist at LeapTheory.com starting in 2019.
Before that, they served as a PhD student and Research Assistant at the Colorado School of Mines from 2013 to 2019. During this time, their research focused on manufacturing next-generation coating materials using experimental approaches and computer modeling. They worked on projects involving precision manipulation of nanomotors, multiphase transport and patterning of particles, and synthesis of asymmetric particles with tunable functionality. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Assistant for Transport Phenomena during 2014-2015.
Xingfu's work experience also includes a role as a Research Assistant at the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 2010 to 2013.
Xingfu Yang, PhD, obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Assembly and transport behavior of colloidal particle in electric field from the Colorado School of Mines. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializing in Separation & Purification. Xingfu completed their Bachelor of Biological Engineering degree from Sichuan University, focusing on Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).
In addition to their academic qualifications, Xingfu Yang has also obtained various certifications. These include certifications in Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine: Foundations and Architecting with Google Kubernetes Engine: Workloads from Coursera, which were obtained in April 2023. Xingfu also completed certifications in Deploying Machine Learning Models in Production in April 2023, Introduction to Machine Learning in Production in February 2023, Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure in July 2019, Machine Learning in July 2019, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2019.
