Bao Huynh Thai

Bao Huynh Thai has worked in various roles in the technology industry since 2013. From 2013 to 2015, they worked as a Hardware Design Engineer at Renesas Electronics Corporation, where they implemented clock-tree-synthesis (CTS) for SoC and MCU products and gave strategies to create clock trees and achieve the timing constraints of design. From 2015 to 2018, they worked as a DevOps Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer at Chợ Tốt, a fast-growing company running the leading classified site in Vietnam. In this role, they managed K8S clusters, GCP Cloud Management, internal DNS and SSL management, designed practices for microservice deployment, managed CICD pipelines, and optimized CICD runtime. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at Shopee, where they provided 24/7 uptime and high-speed platforms for teams. Bao's main accomplishments included K8S cluster management, GCP Cloud Management, internal DNS and SSL management, design practices for microservice deployment, and managing CICD pipelines. Currently, they are a Senior DevOps Engineer at LeapXpert, where they are working to provide scalable/reliable/highly-available and security-compliant systems. Bao's key achievements include Kubernetes, Pipeline-as-Code, Infrastructure-as-Code, Policy-as-Code, and Cloud-based Platform management.

Bao Huynh Thai obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Telecommunications Engineering from Vietnam National University, HCMC between 2009 and 2013. Bao also obtained a TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test) from ETS in July 2011. In March 2020, they obtained an Associate Cloud Engineer from Google Cloud - Minnesota. In September 2019, they obtained a CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation. In August 2021, they obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS). In July 2022, they obtained a CKS: Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist from The Linux Foundation. In March 2022, they obtained a HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate from HashiCorp.
