Cathryn Savino is currently an advisor at STRUT Learning. Cathryn has previous experience working as a clinical manager- child and adolescent behavioral health team at Asian Human Services, Inc., a social and emotional learning specialist at Chicago Public Schools, and a school counselor also at Chicago Public Schools. Cathryn has also worked as a school-based clinician at SGA Youth & Family Services and as a clinical counseling intern at SGA Youth & Family Services. In their previous positions, Cathryn has provided clinical counseling to youth, organized and promoted conflict management groups, developed learning plans, implemented interventions, and introduced coping skills for clients. Cathryn has also maintained client files, conducted services in an ethical and legal manner with strong emphasis on culture considerations, participated in training sessions, collaborated with school officials on providing comprehensive services for students, worked with parents and students on healthy communication skills and promoting safety, and supported students and families with wrap around services by linking to community and school resources.
Cathryn Savino has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from Arizona State University, a Masters in Counseling from DePaul University, and is currently completing a PhD in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Northern Illinois University.
