Doug Yau

Doug Yau is the Co-Founder and Chairperson of the Board at STRUT Learning. Doug has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Doug has a proven track record in successfully launching and commercializing oncology products.

Doug started their career as a medical science liaison (MSL) at Sanofi. Doug quickly rose through the ranks and became the National Director of Oncology Solid Tumor Field Medical Affairs. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team of MSLs and supporting the US Medical Directors in the development and execution of US medical plans.

Doug was instrumental in the successful launch of two oncology drugs, Jevanta (prostate cancer) and Libtayo (CSCC, BCC, NSCLC). Doug also played a key role in the development of Sanofi's oncology pipeline, which includes agents such as CEACAM5, TGFB, SHP2, and THOR707.

In addition to their work at Sanofi, Doug is also a faculty preceptor for the Oncology US Medical Affairs Fellowship at MCPHS University. Doug is a passionate advocate for continued learning and professional development.

Doug Yau has an Executive Certificate in Leadership and Management from The Wharton School, a Certificate in Leadership Essentials from Cornell University, and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a dual concentration in Health Sector Management and Leadership and Change Management from DePaul Driehaus College of Business. Doug also has Graduate Certificates in Emotional Intelligence from both the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) - Liautaud Graduate School of Business and The Liautaud Institute. In addition, Doug Yau has a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care from the University of Chicago and a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Illinois Chicago. Doug also holds a BA in Biology and Neuroscience from the University of Chicago. Finally, Doug Yau has completed management training programs at Sanofi Genzyme (Leadership Essentials- 2nd Level) and Sanofi (Management Essentials).
