Learning Equality
Terry Nathan has co-founded and participated in early-stage start-ups in both the software and learning spaces. From 2004-2018, he was president of IYRS School of Technology & Trades, an industrial arts, post-secondary school for makers and builders. Prior to IYRS, he co-founded and served in executive positions for two software companies - one in the publishing industry; the other related to digital asset and content management systems. During this period in the 1980s-90s, he worked with both start-up publications and many of the largest publishers, including McGraw-Hill, Reed Elsevier, Forbes Media, Transcontinental Media, Condé Nast, and Hachette Publications. He has a BA in humanities from Shimer College, formerly part of The University of Chicago, and a MFA in literature and writing from the University of Montana’s Writer’s Workshop.
