Gary Clarke has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Gary began their career as a Software Developer at SE Technologies in 1990 and worked there until 1993. Gary then joined HP - Compaq as a Software Developer in 1992 and stayed with the company until 2003. In 2000, they became a Partner at Bprise Corp and served in that role until 2004. From 2002 to 2004, they also worked as a Consultant at Hewlett Packard.
In 2004, they joined Family Care as the Director of Information Technology, a position they held until 2018. During their time at Family Care, they also served as the Chief Strategy Officer for a brief period in 2018.
In 2018, Clarke became the Chief Software Architect at Certica Solutions, where they worked until January 2021.
After that, they joined Instructure as the Sr. Manager of Engineering in January 2021 and continued in that role until December 2021.
Most recently, in December 2021, Clarke became the Chief Technology Officer at Learning Explorer, where they are currently employed.
Gary Clarke attended the University of Birmingham from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Software Engineering & Computer Science with a focus on Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer from Microsoft, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
