MacHel Mills-Miles

Machel Mills-Miles serves as the Vice President of Standards Implementation and Outreach at Learning Forward since April 2021. Prior to this role, Machel held the position of Sr. Learning Strategist at BloomBoard, Inc. from July 2019 to April 2021. Machel also contributed to the Tennessee Department of Education as the Director of Talent and Professional Learning Systems and the Director of Professional Learning Systems between July 2016 and June 2019. Earlier experience includes positions at Metro Nashville Public Schools, where Machel worked as a District Lead Coach, Instructional Coach, and Reading/Language Arts Teacher from August 2004 to July 2016, as well as a Language Arts Teacher at Omaha Public Schools from August 2003 to May 2004. Machel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science from Northwestern University and a Master of Education in Urban Settings from Vanderbilt University, along with a Teaching Certificate from the College of Saint Mary.
