Dr. Melinda McCarty

Dr. Melinda McCarty has a diverse range of work experience. Dr. Melinda currently holds the position of Corporate Relations Manager at Tige Boats, Inc. since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Alignment at Learning List starting in June 2020. From July 2017 to June 2020, Dr. McCarty served as the Assistant Superintendent at Sweetwater ISD. Before that, they held the role of Executive Director of Academics at Texas Leadership Charter Academy from April 2017 to July 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Educator at Abilene ISD from August 2009 to July 2014. Dr. McCarty has also held various other positions, including Board Vice President at St. John's Episcopal School, Team Member at BSF International, Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist at Upjohn, Vice President/General Manager at Crossroads V Communications, and Owner at an International Startup and Turnaround Consulting firm.

Dr. Melinda McCarty has a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Organizational Leadership from Lamar University. Dr. Melinda obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in 1985. In 2010, they completed their Master's degree in Education Administration from Sul Ross State University. Prior to that, they pursued Accounting and Business/Management at Abilene Christian University from 1981 to 1983. Dr. McCarty also holds a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Sul Ross State University. Additionally, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Southern Methodist University.
