Hanna Melnick

Hanna Melnick is a seasoned education policy expert currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Learning Policy Institute, where Hanna co-leads the Early Childhood Learning team and is the lead author of significant publications focused on California’s early care and education system. Previous experience includes serving as a Program Fellow with the California Education Policy Fellowship at the Education Insights Center and as a Research Analyst at Pivot Learning Partners, where Hanna conducted an impact analysis related to the Local Control Funding Formula. Additionally, Hanna has held positions as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Center for Cities and Schools at UC Berkeley, a Consultant for the Alameda County Early Care and Planning Council, and as a teacher at the East Palo Alto Charter School and through Teach for America. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Public Policy from the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley and a Bachelor’s in Social Studies from Harvard University.
