Christopher P. McManus

Christopher P. McManus has over 10 years of work experience in various roles within the animation, filmmaking, education, and arts sectors. Christopher P. is currently the Head of Video & Animation Production at Learning Without Tears, where they write, directs, and animates educational videos for students. McManus has also worked as a filmmaker, creating short films that experiment with animation and puppetry at Hair and Diamonds. Christopher P. was a founding member of the OOF Animation Collective, where they curated animation screenings and collaborated on animation projects. In addition, McManus has experience as a visiting lecturer at the Community College of Philadelphia, teaching video production classes and researching industry developments. Christopher P. has also served as the director of a citywide arts project called CITYWIDE, managing artist organizations and coordinating a large-scale exhibition. McManus has held various other positions, including adjunct professor at Moore College of Art & Design and artist member/4th Wall Video Coordinator at Vox Populi Gallery. Christopher P. has also worked in project management and marketing roles, including as a nutrition consultant for USAID and as a marketing director for Sustainable Communities Initiative - West Philadelphia. Earlier in their career, McManus was a research fellow at Yale University, leading an interdisciplinary public health and environmental study. Christopher P. also served as a teaching assistant for a graduate-level course on Modeling Geographic Space.

Christopher P. McManus has a diverse education history, with a focus on environmental health. Christopher P. started their academic journey in 1996 at Rockland Community College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Math and Science, which they completed in 1998. Seeking to further their knowledge and education, Christopher then attended Georgetown University from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

Continuing their studies in the field of environmental health, Christopher attended Yale School of Public Health and Yale School of the Environment from 2004 to 2007. During this time, they obtained a Master of Public Health degree from the Yale School of Public Health, specializing in Environmental Health Science. Simultaneously, they pursued a Master of Environmental Management at the Yale School of the Environment, deepening their expertise in the field of environmental health.
