Dave Lauthers

Virginia State Advocate at Leave No Trace

Dave Lauthers has extensive experience in outdoor ethics, environmental education, and logistics planning. Currently serving as a board member for the Newport News Green Foundation and a Virginia Master Naturalist with VMN, Dave is also a Tread Lightly Master Tread Trainer and holds the position of Virginia State Advocate for the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. Additional roles include Council Outdoors Ethics Advocate with the Colonial Virginia Council and Leave No Trace Master Educator for the Boy Scouts of America. Since 2002, Dave has contributed as a logistics planner at Newport News Shipbuilding, and educational credentials include a BS in Computer Networking from Strayer University and a high school diploma from New Mexico Military Institute.
