Axel Kornemann

Axel Kornemann has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Axel currently holds the position of Senior Vice President Corporate Communications at Lechwerke AG since January 2022. In September 2022, they also became a member of the Supervisory Board of Mittlere Donau Kraftwerke Aktiengesellschaft. Prior to this, they served as Vice President European Associations at E.ON from October 2018 to December 2021.

In addition, Axel had roles as a member of the Supervisory Board at e.kundenservice Netz GmbH and e.dialog GmbH from November 2018 to November 2019. Axel was also the Head of Business Operations at e.kundenservice Netz GmbH from April 2013 to September 2018. Before joining e.kundenservice, they worked as the Head of Corporate Development and Customer Management at E.ON Service Plus GmbH from November 2008 to March 2013.

Earlier in their career, Axel held leadership positions at EAM Energie AG as the Head of the Executive Office and Senior Management from May 2005 to October 2008. Axel also worked at Ruhrgas AG as the Head of Coordination from February 2001 to April 2005.

Prior to their work in the energy sector, Axel worked as the Office Manager and Personal Assistant to Hubert Deittert, a Member of the German Bundestag, from May 1996 to January 2001.

Axel Kornemann's education history begins in 1993 when they attended The University of Bonn. Axel completed their studies there in 1998, earning a degree known as "1. jur. Staatsexamen" in the field of "Recht" (Law). After that, they enrolled in Land Brandenburg from 1998 to 2000, where they pursued further legal education and obtained a degree called "2. jur. Staatsexamen" in the same field of study.
