George Bourne

George Bourne is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Team Leader for Design and Mechanical Engineering at Leclanché SA since October 2020, where responsibilities include constructive development and optimization of production processes, pouch cell product design, and management of technical drawings. Prior roles include Production Engineer at Leclanché SA, focusing on optimizing lithium-ion cell production and coordinating with partners, as well as conducting heat transfer simulations during a master's thesis at Technology & Strategy. George has also contributed as a research assistant in lithium-ion battery R&D, interned at Mercedes-Benz on mechanical R&D projects, and served as a physics tutor. George holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Hochschule Mannheim.
