Rod B. has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Rod began their career at Conrail in 1991 as an Arbitration Assistant, and then moved to CN as an Arbitration Assistant for the Grand Trunk Western Railroad Company in 1992. Rod joined Ford Motor Company in 1993, where they held various roles including Supervisor Operations/Labor Relations Officer, Organization and Personnel Planning Generalist, and Labor Relations Specialist. From 1996 to 1997, Rod worked at Anheuser-Busch as an Assistant Manager of Human Resources. In 1997, they joined CN as the Manager of Labor Relations for the Illinois Central Railroad Company. In 1998, they started working at CSX as a Locomotive Engineer and later took on the role of Labor Representative. In 2001, Rod briefly worked at Huntsman Corporation as a Chief Negotiator. Currently, they serve as the President of Locomotive Engineers & Conductors Mutual Protective Association and is also a member of its Board of Trustees.
Rod B. has a Masters degree in Labor and Industrial Relations from Michigan State University. Rod also has a BA in Communications and Finance from Buena Vista University. In addition, Rod has studied Philosophy and Theological Studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. Rod has obtained certifications in Arbitration from the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in 2002, and as a Locomotive Engineer from the Federal Railroad Administration in December 1999.
