Marvyn Robar

Marvyn is a distinguished financial and business professional with over 35 years of experience in both the public and private and sectors. Previously he held the position of Vice President, Investment for the Province of Nova Scotia within the portfolio of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism. He was responsible for overseeing an $800 million economic development fund, and worked with the largest companies and major employers in the Province, and to develop the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector. Positioned for this role as the former President of the Nova Scotia Strategic Opportunities Fund Inc., a $250 million government backed investment fund, Marvyn provides a unique understanding and high-level of knowledge of the business environment in the Province.
