Salvatore Ingala

Salvatore Ingala is a Senior Firmware Engineer and Bitcoin Expert at Ledger since January 2021, with previous experience as an Embedded Application Engineer. Salvatore contributed as a Developer at Talaia Labs, focusing on an open-source project for Bitcoin’s Lightning Network. Prior to that, Salvatore worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Pisa Research Ltd, playing a key role in developing a transaction relayer for Ethereum. As Chief Technology Officer at Menduca, Salvatore created the initial business website featuring a React front-end and Firebase back-end. Salvatore's early career includes a PhD student position at IDSIA, where efforts were made on Approximation Algorithms, along with an internship at TVBLOB, implementing NAT traversal techniques in C++. Salvatore holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Università di Catania and a Deep Learning Nanodegree from Udacity, complemented by foundational education in Computer Science from Scuola Superiore di Catania and University of Catania.
