Dr. Ulrich Weiss

Dr. Ulrich Weiss has extensive work experience in strategic portfolio and product management, as well as innovation management in the lighting industry. Dr. Ulrich served as Global Head of Strategic Portfolio and Product Management & Global Business Segment Head, R&D at LEDVANCE from 2016 onwards, with responsibilities including global strategy development, product management, and innovation management for various lighting products. Prior to that, Dr. Weiss held several roles at OSRAM, including Segment Head for Electronic Ballasts & High Pressure Discharge Lamps, Head of Marketing and Product Portfolio Management, and Head of Strategic Innovation Management. At Siemens, they worked as a Senior Project Manager and Consultant, as well as a Product and Program Manager in the field of telecommunication. Overall, Dr. Weiss has a strong background in managing product lifecycles, driving innovation, and leading strategic initiatives in the lighting and telecommunications industries.

Dr. Ulrich Weiss holds a Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) and a Diploma of Engineering (Dipl.-Ing.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart in Germany. Dr. Ulrich also obtained a Diplôme d'Ingénieur from ENST Paris, Ecole Nat. Sup. des Telecommunications. In addition, they are a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI), which they obtained in 2005.
