Taryn Cooper

Taryn Cooper has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Taryn started their career as a Senior Auditor at Charles L. Marvin & Co., where they gained experience in auditing various organizations and government entities. Taryn then joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Senior Auditor, where they prepared financial statements and evaluated internal control systems.

In 2001, Taryn transitioned to Gannett | USA TODAY NETWORK, initially serving as a Controller and later as a Senior Regional Finance Director. In this role, they were responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, and financial analysis. Taryn led the consolidation of 20 newspapers into a shared service unit and played a key role in post-acquisition integration. Additionally, they developed and implemented financial controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

Taryn's next position was at LAZ Parking, where they served as the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting. In this role, they managed the company's accounting functions and contributed to financial decision-making.

Taryn'smost recent role is with Lee Enterprises, where they currently serve as the Senior Finance Director - Advertising. With a start date in 2022, they oversee the financial operations and strategies related to advertising.

Taryn Cooper obtained an Associate's degree in Accounting from The State University of New York between 1993 and 1994. Taryn then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The College of Saint Rose from 1994 to 1995.
