Katherine Ireland

Katherine is the Programme Manager for Pastoral & Progression, and Safeguarding Lead for the department. Katherine also ensures those students who are looked after have an EHCP or additional needs are being supported in college. She heads a team of lovely pastoral staff who deliver tutorial seasons and carry out 1-1s with all students, ensuring they are enjoying college and any barriers to their progress are identified and overcome. She loves her job as every day is different and she feels she is making a positive difference to young people’s lives. She says the best thing about working in the engineering department is being part of a supportive team.
