Chris Oates

Chris Oates is an experienced communications and marketing professional with a career spanning over 15 years in public sector roles. Currently serving as the Communications and Marketing Business Partner at Leeds City Council since September 2019, Chris has previously held positions such as Communications and Campaigns Manager at Wakefield Council and PR Campaigns Manager at Wakefield and District Housing. Earlier roles include Media and PR Officer for West Yorkshire Police and PR Officer at Wakefield and District Housing. Chris began a career in journalism as a Reporter for The Press newspaper after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from The University of Sheffield in 2004.
