Andy Brooks

Andy 'Testament' Brooks is a multifaceted creative professional currently serving as a Script Writer for Castlevania Nocturne on Netflix since August 2023. With an extensive background in theatre and music, Brooks has been a Playwright for Talawa Theatre Company since January 2020, a Hip-Hop Artist and Theatre Maker for Leeds Playhouse since February 2015, and has led workshops at Hip Hop Clinic since March 2011. Additionally, Brooks tutors Rap and Beatbox at West Yorkshire Playhouse and owns HOMECUT. Previous roles include Writer In Residence at Royal Exchange Theatre in 2019 and Beatbox Tutor at Battersea Arts Centre from 2010 to 2013. Educationally, Brooks holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Leeds and completed GCSEs at Trinity C of E High School in Manchester.
