Jonathan Jackson is an experienced academic with a focus on policing and criminology. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Policing at Leeds Trinity University since October 2023, Jonathan has held various leadership roles, including Academic Director at The Foundation of Institutional Support and Employability Lead for the Sociology & Criminology Department at Birmingham City University. Jonathan's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the History of Policing in England and Wales from Birmingham City University, a PGCE from The University of Huddersfield, and a Master's degree in Homeland Security from Northumbria University. Jonathan's prior teaching experience includes positions at York College, where responsibilities encompassed leading programs in Community and Public Sector Management and tutoring in Uniformed Public Services.
