Daniel Waln

Daniel Waln is an experienced basketball coach with a robust background in recruitment and player development. Currently serving as the Assistant Men's Basketball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Lees-McRae College since March 2014, Daniel has successfully evaluated and recruited student-athletes, while also collaborating on game strategies. Previous coaching roles include Head JV Basketball Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach at Ashe County Schools, where Daniel formulated game plans and coordinated practices, and Assistant Coach for the Men's 17U Team at East Coast Fusion Development Program, focusing on both team and individual player growth. As Head Basketball Coach for the Men's 15U Team with Ashe County Lightning Basketball, Daniel emphasized fundamental skills and mentorship. Daniel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Appalachian State University, completed in 2014.
