Elizabeth Maldonado

Elizabeth Maldonado, MBA has over five years of work experience in various roles. Elizabeth began their career as a Juvenile Unit Intern at Albany County Probation Department, where they shadowed and participated in supervision and pre-sentencing duties. Elizabeth also assisted in youth intake and counseling sessions.

Afterward, Elizabeth worked as a Student Assistant at the University at Albany, SUNY, where they provided support to the Human Resource team, the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, and the Dewey Graduate Library.

Elizabeth then interned at the New York State Senate as an NYS State Senator Intern. In this role, they conducted research on potential policy initiatives and scheduled meetings with constituents and interest groups. Elizabeth also managed administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, emails, filing, and recording minutes.

Next, Elizabeth served as an NY Citizenship Intern at the Mayor's Office of Immigrant Affairs. Elizabeth promoted NYC ID and NY Citizenship events, assisted with case management for NY Citizenship events, and managed incoming calls to provide referrals to partner organizations.

Elizabeth also gained experience as an Information Associate at Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Center, where they coordinated patient appointments, assisted in enrollment processes, and sent telephone encounters to providers.

Most recently, Elizabeth worked at Legacy College Preparatory Charter School. Elizabeth started as a Founding Community Outreach Specialist and supported the principal and director of operations in parent communication, recruitment, and enrollment. Elizabeth also created marketing materials. Elizabeth then became an Operations Manager, overseeing the operational budget and managing overall financing for school-based purchasing. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Operations, where they support the school leader's vision, leads planning and goal setting for the operations team, manages student recruitment and enrollment, and designs school-wide policies and procedures.

Elizabeth Maldonado, MBA, completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Analytics and Marketing at Mercy University from 2017 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science and Government from the University at Albany, SUNY, which they attended from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, they hold a certification in CPR from the American Heart Association, obtained in August 2021.
