Legacy College Preparatory Charter School
Lauren Beauzile is an experienced educator currently serving as a mentor for an NYU student at Legacy College Preparatory Charter School, where Lauren also holds the position of Founding High School English Teacher, instructing English 10 and Theatre to 9th and 11th graders. Prior to this role, Lauren worked as an ELA Teacher at Uncommon Schools and as an Urban Education Tutor at Great Oaks Legacy Charter School, where responsibilities included tutoring and in-class assistance for 7th and 8th graders. Additional teaching experience includes a position as a teaching apprentice at Blue Engine, ESL teaching in France, and a tutoring role at a public charter school. Lauren possesses a Master's of Arts in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Theatre with a French minor from Drew University.

Legacy College Preparatory Charter School
Legacy College Prep is an independent, tuition-free charter school opening in the South Bronx the fall of 2017 to sixth grade only. We will grow one grade each year until we are fully enrolled through twelfth grade. Our Mission: Through rigorous academic instruction, values-based character development, and the pursuit of ambitious goals, Legacy College Preparatory Charter School ensures all students in grades six through twelve are prepared to graduate from college, access professional opportunities, and build a positive legacy for future generations.
