Legacy College Preparatory Charter School
Song LeJeune currently serves as a 6th Grade ELA Teacher at Legacy College Preparatory Charter School since August 2023 and is a Corps Member with Teach For America since December 2022. Previous experience includes roles as Siblinghood Academy Program Dean and Program Intern at Sadie Nash Leadership Project from September 2022 to June 2023, as well as positions as Preceptor and Pre-College Program Course Assistant at Barnard College from January 2021 to May 2023. Song LeJeune is pursuing a Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching at Hunter College, expected to be completed in May 2025, and holds a Bachelor's degree in American Studies, Education, and Spanish and Latin American Cultures from Barnard College (2019-2023), along with a high school diploma from Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts (LSMSA).

Legacy College Prep is an independent, tuition-free charter school opening in the South Bronx the fall of 2017 to sixth grade only. We will grow one grade each year until we are fully enrolled through twelfth grade. Our Mission: Through rigorous academic instruction, values-based character development, and the pursuit of ambitious goals, Legacy College Preparatory Charter School ensures all students in grades six through twelve are prepared to graduate from college, access professional opportunities, and build a positive legacy for future generations.
