Karen Hanbury

Karen Hanbury has a diverse work experience. Karen started their career at GMAC as a Senior Traveling Auditor, where they were promoted to Senior Auditor after one year. Karen then worked as a Commercial Lending Analyst for 11 years. After leaving GMAC, Karen worked as a Branch Manager at Auto Credit of Nashville and United Auto Credit Corporation. Karen also volunteered at Small Dog Rescue. Currently, they are Vice President of Dealer Services at Legacy Community Federal Credit Union.

Karen Hanbury earned an Associates degree from Jefferson & Belmont from 1977 to 1979. Karen pursued further education by completing under B.S. coursework in Liberal Science at Belmont University. Additionally, they obtained an Associate's degree from Jefferson State Jr. College.

Legacy Community Federal Credit Union

Legacy opened its doors as University Credit Union in 1955 to serve the UAB community. After serving the education and healthcare industries for more than 50 years, the credit union expanded its field of membership to include the 7-county Greater Birmingham Metropolitan Area and changed its name to Legacy Community Federal Credit Union at the beginning of 2006. Now anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Jefferson, Shelby, Blount, St. Clair, Walker, Chilton, and Bibb counties is eligible for membership.
