Elena G. MacIas

Elena G. Macias, MISM, RHIA, currently serves as the HIM Manager at Legacy Community Health since September 2023, previously holding the position of HIM Specialist III. Prior to this role, Elena was the Medical Record Manager and HIM Specialist at El Centro de Corazón from July 2017 to August 2023, where responsibilities included ensuring timely release of healthcare information in compliance with regulations and optimizing the ROI queue. Earlier experience includes positions as Operational Team Lead and Medical Assistant Coordinator at AIG Travel Guard from September 2013 to September 2016, and as an ROI Specialist at Healthport LLC in early 2012. Elena holds a Master’s degree in Information System Management with a concentration in Health Information Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University and a Bachelor’s degree in Technical Management with a focus on Health Information Management from DeVry University.
