Dr. Reneta Johnson

Dr. Reneta Johnson currently serves as the Executive Director at Legacy Prep, a position held since July 2022. Prior to this role, Dr. Johnson worked as an ARI Regional Literacy Leadership Specialist at the Alabama State Department of Education from June 2021 to August 2022 and as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction/Director of Federal Programs at Lead Academy from July 2020 to June 2021. Previous experience includes serving as Head of Schools at Elite Private School, School Director at the Department of Education and Knowledge - ADEK, Principal at Shelby County Schools, Resident Principal with New Leaders Org, and Assistant Principal at Gwinnett County Public Schools. Dr. Johnson began a career in education as a Teacher in DeKalb County School District. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University, an Educational Specialist degree and a Master of Science in Management of Educational Programs from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from Alabama State University.
