Tita Alvira currently serves as the Chief Partnerships and Programs Officer and Global Director of Thriving Futures at Legado, where leadership focuses on supporting indigenous and local communities in climate-vulnerable and biodiverse areas. Previously, Tita Alvira was the Senior Program Manager for the Andes Amazon at The Field Museum, leading social components of various conservation programs and strategies in the Andes-Amazon region. Tita Alvira holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Interdisciplinary Ecology and a Master of Science (MSc) in Botany from the University of Florida, as well as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology from Universidad de Los Andes.
